CHS Girls' Bowling Sets New Record
The Varsity Lady Cavaliers' Bowling Team set a new school scoring record. On Tuesday, January 28th, CHS bowled games of 830 and 944 for a 1,774 set, according to Coach Jay McGinnis. The 944 match broke the record previously set by the current bowling team (914).
Leading the Lady Cavs was sophomore Maddy Gilbert with games of 268 and 253.
CHS defeated Lynchburg Clay at Shawnee Lanes.
CHS Girls' and Boys' Bowling is next in action against Wellston at 4:30 p.m., Friday, at Shawnee Lanes. Prior to the match, CHS will be recognizing its senior student-athletes.
