Lady Cavs Volleyball Team Falls to Unioto

The Unioto Lady Shermans came back from a two-sets-to-none deficit to upset the Lady Cavaliers at Hatton Gymnasium, Thursday.

CHS won the first couple of sets 25-20 and 25-23 before Unioto closed out with sets of 25-23, 25-20, and 15-9.

“It was a great match, but we need to work on closing out,” said CHS Varsity Coach Andrew Vitatoe. “When we were up 22-20 in the third set was really our time to put the match away, and we had too many unforced errors to do that.

Coach Vitatoe said the Lady Cavs will travel to Lancaster for a tournament on Saturday.

"We’ll get back in the gym tomorrow and work some things out, and, hopefully, we’ll get the chance to face (Unioto) again at their tournament next Saturday.”
