“I was very encouraged by our overall performance today,” said Coach Andrew Vitatoe. “Our team was in a much different place last year at this time. The 2018 team had 8 returning varsity members, and many had been playing together for many years. This year’s team is very talented, but we only have 4 returning varsity players and many haven’t played together before this year.”
According to Coach Vitatoe, Chillicothe's Sophia Fulkerson, the team's 2017 MVP, has returned to the line-up after recovering from a shoulder injury.
Fulkerson collected 27 digs, 25 kills, and 8 aces on the outing.
Chillicothe will host Unioto at 6 p.m. on Thursday, August 22nd.
