School officials said the Music Department collected and donated more than 900 items to pantry that is accessible to students in the Chillicothe City School District, as well as any families in the district.
"Students can come in and shop for items as needed, with no questions asked," said CHS Guidance Counselor Sarah Hawthorne. "Our goal is to fill these very basic needs for our students and families and to help alleviate some of the stressors that they may have as a result."
According to Hawthorne, in-school clubs and CHS student organizations may contribute items and/or money to the Cavalier Closet through monthly sponsorships.
