This year, students and faculty have welcomed many new teachers to CHS. One teacher in particular is Mrs. Lisa Frye, who teaches physical science to students in grades 9-12.
Frye is new to the community and CHS isn't the first place she has taught. She has also worked for schools in Oregon and Washington, as well as at a community college. Frye earned her grad and undergrad at Eastern Oregon University as well as some additional grad work at University of Oregon.
"I like the livability of the community especially how the downtown area has so many great restaurants and shops. I love the history, the parks, and the hills here, too."
In her free time, she enjoys gardening, landscaping, hiking, exploring, reading, and watching football.
"I love science, and I’ve been mentoring teens and young adults for decades," said Frye. "Teaching lets me do both. It’s perfect!"
