Net Neutrality Returns

On Wednesday, the Senate held a vote 52-47 to overturn Chairman of the FCC Ajit Pai's decision to repeal net neutrality. Back in December of 2017, Obama era regulations on the Internet were repealed in a vote pitched by the former Verizon Associate General.

For those who aren't aware, Net Neutrality is defined as "the principle that Internet service providers should enable access to all content and applications regardless of the source, and without favoring or blocking particular products or websites."

When Net Neutrality was repealed, that meant companies could block certain websites and have to make customers pay extra for certain access to certain applications.

"I think it's good that net neutrality is back so we can be protected from businesses by over charging us for Internet services," said CHS student athlete Shelby Dunham.
