2018 CHS Academic Awards Ceremony

On May 4th, 2018, teachers recognized and awarded many CHS students for their hard-work throughout the 2017-2018 school year. Many students were awarded for honor roll, high honor roll, and distinguished honor roll. But there were a few students who were recognized within the school's various departments.

Senior Taylor Bolen was given the Business/PRCTC Department Award presented by Mrs. Groff. Senior Michael Curtis was given the Guidance Department Award presented Mr. Hertler. Senior Anastasia Wright was given the English Language Arts Department Award presented by Mrs. Orr. Senior Bryten Carroll was given the Art Department Award presented by Mrs. Dana. Senior Barry Warfield was given the Music Department Award presented by Mrs. Kennard.

Junior Katherine Remley was given the Science Department Award presented by Mrs. Metzger. Junior Gabe Smith was given the Mathematics Department Award presented by Mrs. Nicely. Junior Carly Wood was given the Social Studies Department Award presented by Mr. McCorkle, and junior Auggie Russell was given the Global Language Department Award presented by Mr. McDonnie.

Sophomore Davonte Williams was given the Health/PE Department Award presented by Mr. Huffer, while freshman Garrett Thacker was given the Preservance & Improvement Award presented by Mr. Drewyor.
