Last week at Chillicothe High School, students and teachers alike celebrated Music In Our Schools Week, sponsored by the National Association for Music Education.
The event focuses on the needs and benefits of music education in public schools by doing fun activities like a music spirit week based on a different theme every year. This year's theme was "Music Inspires" which included different spirit week dress up days like 'piano key' Monday and 'decades day' Thursday.
Students in a music program were also encouraged to wear paraphernalia related to either band, orchestra, or choir.
