Keyboard Cat Passes Away

On March 8th, the world lost another Internet celebrity. Bento the keyboard cat passed away.

However, what most people don't know is that Bento isn't the original keyboard cat.

Charlie Schmidt, Bento's owner, says the original keyboard cat Fatso died in 1987.

The viral video of the cat playing the keyboard that most people are familiar with was uploaded to YouTube back in June of 2007 and has since then racked up 50.5 million views.

Schmidt uploaded a tribute video of the videos that Bento was featured in on March 16th.
