Money Taken in Recent Theft

Chillicothe Police are investigating a theft recently reported at a local apartment.

According to a report from the Chillicothe Police Department, Officer Christopher Dubay was dispatched to the apartment in reference to a theft. The victim reportedly said he was shoveling snow outside his apartment building and left his door unlocked. He also said he did not notice anything missing until he went to the kitchen cabinet to get some money out of a Christmas tin can, and the can was gone.

According to the report, the victim said he had about $700 saved up in the can.

There was no sign of forced entry, and nothing else was missing or out of place, according to the report.
