As the spooky season comes about, food companies jump on the bandwagon with Halloween-themed foods. One company in particular is General Mills.
Every year General Mills produces its famous Halloween cereal trio: Count Chocula, Franken Berry, and Boo Berry.
However, what most people don’t know is that there used to be 5 Halloween cereal boxes instead of the 3. Fruit Brute was a werewolf-themed cereal and Fruity Yummy Mummy was a mummy-themed cereal, which both were discontinued back in 1982. General Mills did attempt a relaunch back in 2013, but sadly the cereals had a short shelf life and were discontinued the next year.
Regardless, it’s always a scramble for customers to stock up on boxes of the seasonal cereals before they’re gone for another year.
