Spirit Days Dress-Up Advice
Homecoming week is approaching, dresses are bought, dates are accepted, and spirit days have been announced. You planned out every detail down to a T, except for the dress up days. Well, dressing up for homecoming week is a lot easier than people make it out to be. Here are a few simple steps to make the spirit days less complicated and much more fun!
Step 1: Do not be afraid to be “too much.” If a certain dress up day appeals to you, go for it. Don’t be afraid of what people will say! At least you’ve got school spirit.
Step 2: Do it with a friend. Things that may seem uncomfortable are often much easier to do when not done alone. If you know someone who wants to dress up as well, come up with some fun ideas and do it together!
Step 3: Take a lot of pictures. You’re only in high school for four years (believe me, they fly by), so make the most of it while it’s still here.
Monday: Twin Day - Grab a partner and dress alike; find a common theme to dress like or become one person. However you choose to spin it, just have fun.
Tuesday: Class T-Shirt Day - If you took the time to purchase the $8- dollar class t-shirt last week, all you have to do is wear it. Although if you did not purchase a shirt don’t worry! Wear our school colors: blue and white. You can never go wrong with a Cavalier “C."
Wednesday: Athlete vs Mathlete Day - There’s nothing wrong with being a mathlete or an athlete! This is just a great opportunity to dress up as either one. Have fun with it, wear some awesome suspenders or a super cool basketball jersey. Dress up like your favorite athlete or your “stereotypical” nerd.
Thursday: Decades Day - Have you ever looked at the '70s and thought “I would wear that”? If yes, then this day is for you. Pick your favorite decade, and dress just like the people of the that time. How about the early 2000s? Wear super baggy and over-sized clothes, and don’t forget the obsessive amounts of gold chains. Go through your parents' closet, and dress like they did in high school because that was a different decade, believe it or not.
Friday: Cavalier Spirit Day - This is the easiest of them all. Go Cavalier crazy!!! Wear wild amounts of blue and white. Don’t be afraid to show your true school spirit. Be loud and wear the colors proud.
Go Cavs, and let's beat the Indians!!!!
